Performing & Composing

Dianne is well known for giving a wide variety of solo and ensemble performances through the UK and abroad, which began as a young pianist, as outlined below:

Performance

As a young pianist I was encouraged to perform in concerts & competitions locally and throughout the UK, winning several first prizes in music festivals and competitions.

I was the highest scoring pianist at Chester Music Festival, aged 11, and became Music Student of the Year in 1990.

In my early years I performed solo recitals throughout Merseyside, Cheshire and the UK including at St. Oswald’s Church, Grasmere where I gave a recital aged 10, Williamson Art Gallery, Chester Town Hall and Liverpool St. George’s Hall.

More recent performances as soloist and orchestral pianist with RLPO, Halle and BBC Philharmonic Orchestras, including performances of Pictures at an Exhibition, Mussorgsky, with RLPO (Vasily Patrenko) and an all-American programme at The Bridgewater Hall with Carl Davis.

Other recent performances include my work as an accompanist with Merchant Taylors’ Chamber Choir, with a performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria at St. George’s Hall in May 2019.
